Service benefits from lodge donation
A FREEMASON lodge has donated more than £2,000 to the Kent Air Ambulance (KAA) following a dinner at the London Beach Hotel and Golf Club in St Michael’s, Tenterden.
The Wakefield of Hythe Lodge’s annual Ladies’ Night Festival was attended by more than 120 people who enjoyed dinner, an auction, a raffle and entertainment.
The lodge presented KAA chief executive David Philpott with a cheque for £2,100.
Mr Philpott said: “The Freemasons of Kent have yet again shown enterprise and endeavour in their fund-raising for the Kent Air Ambulance.
“This event proved that fundraising for such an important cause can still be good fun.”
