Musical revival in aid of hospice

Kentish Express Ashford & District - - Sounds Good -

FOR more than 20 years, the first Saturday in March has seen a revival of Gilbert and Sullivan in Folkestone. The town’s United Reformed Church has hosted the concerts for years, raising money for Demelza House. This year’s performance will be of The Yeomen of the Guard, on March 7, starting at 7.30pm and featuring 80 local singers. The performance will be conducted by Michael Foad, and accompanied by John Hurd and Tim Parsons on two pianos. Tickets cost £5 (children £1) at the door and donations will be made to the Demelza House Children’s Hospice, and Jessie’s Fund which promotes Music Therapy in Children’s Hospices.
