BACK in 1997, the Kentish Express covered the success of a teenage couple who qualified to represent the UK at the world youth Latin America dance championships in Russia. Now they have returned to the dance floor as teachers at the Fit to Dance Centre at Henwood, Ashford, leading Latin and ballroom sessions every Wednesday to suit all ages from beginners to experienced dancers. At the age of 14 Sam Kerley, from Kennington, met Luke Saunders, from Essex, after her parents advertised for a dance partner. Within three years the dedicated couple had been selected as one of two pairs to travel to Russia for the world championships along with Strictly Come Dancing favourites Flavia Cacace and Vincent Simone. Their partnership thrived and they travelled the world taking part in competitions against stars of the hit television show like Anton du Beke, and worked on cruise ships demonstrating their skills. In 2000, they married and retired from competition to start new careers and settled back in Albemarle Road, Willesborough,
