AP­PLE­DORE won 2-0 at home to Ash­ford Ea­gles in a game marked by a sea­son’s de­but for club stal­wart Kenny Beale to mark his 65th birth­day.

Beale has been in­volved with Ap­ple­dore for 45 years and played up-front for the last 15 min­utes.

“I keep say­ing I’ll pack it up, but foot­ball’s in my blood,” he said.

Richard Foster and Phil Red­man scored the goals. Ben Har­den twice in Churchill Roy­als’ 2-0 win at Eger­ton.

Paul Hal­l­i­day, Steve Rice and Andy Neal were on tar­get as Galac­ti­cos beat The Al­bion 3-0 while Grasshop­pers and The Cru­sader drew 3-3.
