Hospi­tal vol­un­teers hon­oured

VOL­UN­TEERS from Ash­ford’s William Har­vey Hospi­tal were among those who re­ceived awards for their ef­forts.

A cer­e­mony was held at East­well Manor, Boughton Aluph, for vol­un­teers for East Kent Hos­pi­tals Uni­ver­sity NHS Foun­da­tion Trust.

Awards were pre­sented on Thurs­day last week by Ash­ford mayor John Link, who was ac­com­pa­nied by his wife and may­oress, Jill.

Vol­un­teers carry out work such as sup­port­ing pa­tients and staff, hospi­tal ra­dio, bed­mak­ing and trans­port.
