Have a look at plans for vital 4km sewage work
THE next stage of work to install a new sewerage system in Ashford is due to start later this month.
Southern Water, which is responsible for the multi-million pound programme, is holding an exhibition next week and inviting people to find out more about the scheme.
The next phase involves installing 4km of sewers from Waterbrook Park, through Willesborough, to the waste water treatment works in Canterbury Road in South Willesborough.
This new pipeline will also support future developments in Cheeseman’s Green and Waterbrook Park.
Southern Water’s senior project engineer Gary Sayers said: “We are holding the exhibition to give residents the chance to meet Southern Water staff and 4D, the contractor, to discuss any queries they may have about this vital work and for us to consider any comments received before we start work.
We will be making every effort to minimise disruption while this important scheme is carried out.”
The exhibition will take place at Willesborough Baptist Church, Hythe Road, on Wednesday, March 18, from 6pm-7.30pm followed by a question and answer session for Willesborough Community Forums Open Meeting and on Thursday, March 19, from 10am-1pm.
