Inspectors find that school has improved
A SCHOOL has upped its game and improved in nearly all inspectors’ main marking grades.
Ashford’s Christ Church is no longer under Ofsted notice to improve after hauling itself out of the bottom grade in five out of seven key areas.
All these marks of 4 for “unsatisfactory” have changed to Grade 3 “satisfactory” in the latest inspectors’ report.
It said: “The college no longer requires significant improvement. Its effectiveness is satisfactory. It has successfully tackled most of the weaknesses.”
Last March’s report had given Grade 4 for the five areas of overall effectiveness of the school; achievement and standards; personal development and well-being; teaching and learning, and curriculum and other activities.
All these grades are now upped to 3.
