Strange orange lights in the sky

EXPERTS may dismiss the sightings but incidents of strange lights in the night sky over Ashford continue to be recorded. At least two readers have reported the latest unexplained illuminations that appeared last Wednesday evening. Michael Temple was putting rubbish in his bin at home in Brendon Drive at 7.45pm when he spotted four orange lights in the sky above Wye. He said: “As I looked I realised there were many more – up to 15 or 16 – moving in an arc towards Maidstone, which after a while faded away. “I phoned a neighbour and he also witnessed them. “They were obviously not lights from aircraft as there were too many too close together. Are we being invaded? Perhaps somebody has an explanation?” Another family who live in Sweet Bay Crescent on Godinton Park, who declined to be named, also watched the strange phenomenon for two minutes from their home. The couple, with their children aged 10 and 12, viewed from a landing window as the lights hovered in a triangular Christmas treeshaped formation over the TA Barracks in Chart Road before they slowly faded out. The wife said: “It was a very dark night and they were certainly not aircraft as we could see some planes passing over at the same time.”
