School has missed an op­por­tu­nity

I REG­U­LARLY walk into Ash­ford along the Stour Val­ley Path. My route takes me across the fields from the north side of the M20, through the top end of Cra­dle Bridge Drive, over the rail­way foot­bridge, past the sec­tion at the rear of Nor­ton Knatch­bull School and on into Ash­ford. There is very lit­tle lit­ter on the route be­fore or af­ter the school. It is fairly ob­vi­ous where it comes from, but no smok­ing gun. So I read the item on this lit­ter with in­ter­est (March 19). It seems to me that the school has missed an op­por­tu­nity to teach civic re­spon­si­bil­ity and to demon­strate en­vi­ron­men­tal care in action. I am sure there are pupils and staff at the
