We must stand up to dangerous yobs

Kentish Express Ashford & District - - Opinion -

I WOULD like to congratulate the pizza delivery man for chasing a rowdy boy who threw stones at his scooter (March 12). I have been subjected to a stone throw by a miscreant while driving my car and it was a frightening experience. These yobbos don’t realize that throwing stones at a moving vehicle could seriously maim or kill a driver. It has happened before. I am very pleased that this delivery man did not shrug his shoulders and carry on as if nothing had happened. Instead he decided to teach this dangerous vandal a lesson and chase after him. I bet he would think twice next time before picking up a stone. As a peace-loving public we all must get together to eradicate yob violence and vandalism in our local area. I would not mind anybody driving through my premises chasing a mugger or a vandal. Siri Hewa, Ashford.
