More scope for U3A stud­ies

A NEW Uni­ver­sity of the Third Age (U3A) group has been launched in Ten­ter­den.

With the Ten­ter­den U3A over sub­scribed, the new Weald U3A has been set up to pro­vide ex­tra ed­u­ca­tional, creative and leisure ac­tiv­i­ties for peo­ple no longer in full-time em­ploy­ment .

Weald U3A was launched at St Mil­dred’s Hall, Church Road, Ten­ter­den, with al­most 70 peo­ple en­joy­ing a talk from os­teopath Den­nis Pick­nett.

The next meet­ing is on Fri­day, May 1, from 2.30pm to 4.30pm at the hall, where every­one is wel­come.
