New ar­rival Abby is the fifth gen­er­a­tion

Great-great-grand­mother meets clan’s youngest mem­ber

FIVE gen­er­a­tions of one fam­ily have been cel­e­brat­ing their lat­est ar­rival.

Great-great-grand­mother Kate Benn, 92, of High Halden, re­cently met the month-old lat­est ad­di­tion, Abby Thomas.

Shaine Clayson, 46, the mother, grand­mother and grand­daugh­ter in the fam­ily, ex­plained: “My nan is 92, my mother Sylvia Hub­bard is 68, my daugh­ter Amanda Clayson is 21 and Abby was born on March 1.”

Mrs Clayson lives in St Mary’s Bay, while Amanda and Abby are from Ash­ford.

Mrs Clayson added: “My nan has 11 chil­dren of her own and 40-odd great-great-grand­chil­dren.

“She is happy-go-lucky sort of per­son and still knits.

“She loved meet­ing Abby.”
