Actors share their skills at drama school
ACTOR Steve Edwin and his partner Rebecca Reaney are inviting youngsters to join Stage Antics, the performing arts school they run at the North School in Essella Road, Ashford, every Saturday afternoon.
Rebecca has just finished a year’s run in the West End in Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap and Steve is currently starring in a cinema advertising campaign highlighting the dangers of buying drugs online.
The advert, rated 15, is pretty gruesome and can be seen at www.realdanger.co.uk
Steve said: “It has been causing quite a stir up and down the country but I hope it plays a vital part in steering people way from buying dodgy drugs from the internet.
“Although only a few of our older students have seen it, most of them have heard about it and I get a lot of leg pulling as a result.”
The couple have been running the school in Ashford for more than a year. Pupils receive an hour’s tuition a week in acting, singing and dance.
Last year they staged a full production at Canterbury’s Gulbenkian Theatre.
