Dogs to the rescue

Kentish Express Ashford & District - - Remember When? -

MOST people are aware of mountain rescue dogs but few are aware of Kent’s own search and rescue dogs group.

The animals of SARDA (Search And Rescue Dogs Association) are trained to the highest standards and kept in homes as pets, but are regularly called in to help police in the hunt for missing people across the county.

On Sunday a selection of the working dogs, including border collie Bryn who is under training with Stuart Kenny in Ashford, visited the Bybrook Garden Centre in Kennington, to raise the profile of their work.

Their visit also enabled group members to collect £360 in donations.

Full details of the charity are available from Caroline Dunn on 07966 539979.
