Kentish Express Ashford & District - - Family Announcements -

HOW do you fancy celebrating Easter at Leeds Castle? Between April 10 and 13 there will be a host of spring-themed activities for children. Youngsters can make animal masks in the craft marquee, visit the Bunny Burrows and follow a trail through the grounds to find chocolate bunnies (small additional charge for trail). The grounds will be bursting with spring colour and there will be a carpet of anemones in the wood garden. Look out for nests and the rearing of young birds on the castle’s waterways. Activities include the Knights’ Realm adventure playground, a toddlers’ play area and turf maze and the yew maze with magical grotto in its centre. Try pottery painting and Tshirt printing at the Castle Craft Cafe – a great way to create gifts for family and friends. The Craft Cafe is open from 11am to 4pm in the school holidays and at weekends. The Key to the Castle ticket is valid for a year from date of purchase, making it ideal for repeat visits over Easter. The castle grounds open at 10am and the castle at 10.30am. Last admission is 4.30pm and gates close at 6pm. Details from www.leeds-cas or by calling 01622 765400. For your chance to win one of three family day tickets, simply answer the following question. Send your answer on a postcard or sealed envelope Ashford, Kent TN24 8JR or email kecompetition@thekm by Friday, April 3, 2009.
