ASH­FORD Karate Jutsu Kai mem­bers were in good form in the re­cent Sus­sex Karate Jutsu tour­na­ment at Hail­sham.

The squad of 25, led by Sen­sei Alan Miller, dom­i­nated all the other clubs, tak­ing home a to­tal of 21 medals in­clud­ing 11 golds.

Vicky Gates Van Dyke stormed through her bouts to reach the se­nior ladies’ kick­box­ing fi­nal, where she nar­rowly missed out on first place.

Lauren Ty­w­man won her kick­box­ing fi­nal with ease while the Bil­ham broth­ers, Billy and Luke, also took home gold medals.

The Ash­ford club dom­i­nated in the cadets Novice to 5th Kyu group, with Craig Valen­tine, Josh Miles and Ge­of­frey Mayne tak­ing first, sec­ond and third. Anal­isa Stiffel, Lauren Twyman and Court­ney Cam­bridge re­peated the same winning line up in the 14-17 girls’ kick­box­ing.
