Add a tag to remember lost loved one
REMEMBER a loved one this Christmas by including a tribute on a special tree. The Pilgrims Hospices recognise that the joy and celebration of Christmas often involves gatherings of family and friends. But it can also be a very poignant time for those who face Christmas without a loved one who has died. So Pilgrims Hospices invite anyone from the community to join them to remember their loved ones by having a tag on a Christmas tree and attending a special service. Geoff Walters, Pilgrims Hospices chaplain in Canterbury, said: “Trees of Love provides an opportunity to remember loved ones we will not see at Christmas. “A Christmas tree will stand in the garden of each of the three hospices in Canterbury, remembering and we will sing carols together.” To complete a tag for your loved one and for more information, pick up a Trees of Love leaflet at any Pilgrims Hospices reception or call 01227 782062. The service will be held on Saturday, December 12, at 6pm at the Ashford Pilgrims Hospice and the tags will remain on the trees over Christmas.
