Beaver Road tragedy Driver admits hit and run crash deaths
A DRIVER has been warned he faces a substantial jail sentence for killing two pedestrians and injuring three others.
Stefan Stanko admitted yesterday (Wednesday) at Maidstone Crown Court to two charges of causing death by dangerous driving of Brian Moon, 67, and 49-year-old Denise Head, who were killed after being mown down in Beaver Road, Ashford, as they walked home after a night out.
The 24-year-old Slovakian, also admitted driving with excess alcohol and failing to stop after an accident.
Mrs Head, Mr Moon and three others, including a 12year-old girl, were struck by Stanko’s Nissan Primera as they made their way back from the nearby Ashford International Sports and Social Club shortly after midnight on September 27.
