TWO men have been charged with the murder of father-ofsix Paul Hopkins. Christopher Goldfinch and Scott Stevens, both 22, were charged with the murder of Mr Hopkins when they appeared at Ashford Magistrates’ Court on Thursday. They were remanded in custody and are due to appear again at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday. Mr Hopkins, 32, suffered serious head injuries and had been in a coma since an incident outside his home in Beecholme Drive, Kennington, on August 2. His death in the Kent and Canterbury Hospital on November 23 had been confirmed by the Crown Prosecution Service at a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court last week. Goldfinch, of Falcon Way, South Ashford, and Stevens, of Augustus Walk, Kingsnorth, had originally been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and an alternative charge of inflicting grievous bodily harm.
