Last chance to hear Fundamental Skillz
FUNDAMENTAL Skillz play for the last time next week. The Ashford band performs their swansong at the Liquid & Envy nightclub at East Hill, Ashford, early on Thursday morning. The six-piece group are calling it a day after seven years and three albums because of work and family commitments. Sam Stuart, a founder member, said; “We have decided to retire because each member of the band’s lives are taking different directions. “We are still great friends and really enjoy writing and performing together and would like to leave it on those terms. “We would like to thank all those who have supported us over the years and any bands that we have had the privilege of sharing the stage with.” The band’s highlights have included playing at Glastonbury and the O2 Academy and O2 Arena. In their last show, from 12.30am, they headline Liquid & Envy’s Rock The House Scary Christmas Party alongside Coronal Mass Ejection and local DJs Mike Anthony, Ollie Davis and Martyn Cheesman.
