ARTIST Barbara Seth has achieved a long-time ambition by producing a children’s book. Mr Confetti is based on her chance meeting in the early-1960s with a colourful character who made his own confetti and threw it at major public events such as the Lord Mayor’s Show. The book also includes examples of her artwork. Mrs Seth, 89, is a wellknown local artist in her village, Wye, and this summer displayed her talents in the Wye Art Exhibition. She studied at the Medway School of Art in Rochester from 1936 to 1939 and has exhibited in London, Paris, Rome and Brussels. Last year she republished her late husband Ronald’s book about his Second World War adventures as a secret agent, A Spy has No Friends. Mr Confetti is available in Wye shops such as Wyebooks, Wye News and Ticketyboo. A proportion of sales will be donated to Pilgrims Hospice.
