A FOUN­DA­TION which cares for chil­dren who have suf­fered cru­elty and ne­glect has a new chair­man of trustees - An­gus Fraser. He suc­ceeds Lady Amanda Elling­worth, who steps down af­ter six years at the helm of the Calde­cott Foun­da­tion, at Smeeth, near Ash­ford. Mr Fraser, 64, of Boughton Aluph, is an ex­pe­ri­enced busi­ness­man with a keen in­ter­est in chil­dren’s wel­fare and ed­u­ca­tion. He was ap­pointed a gov­er­nor of the Calde­cott School in 2004, and a trus­tee of the Foun­da­tion a year later. He be­came a vice chair three years ago. Mr Fraser said: “The ini­tial chal­lenge is to af­firm and re­in­force our po­si­tion as a high qual­ity provider of ser­vices to some of Bri­tain’s most vul­ner­a­ble chil­dren, at an eco­nom­i­cally dif­fi­cult time for lo­cal au­thor­i­ties’ clients. “This will re­quire us to con­tinue demon­strat­ing su­perla­tive care, ed­u­ca­tion,
