A UNIVERSITY graduate is getting experience of the work done at Folkestone’s Creative Foundation.

The charity has taken on Gregory Mutyambizi under the Business First placement scheme, which matches graduates with Kent’s small and medium-sized businesses.

The scheme receives funding from the Higher Education Funding Council for England.

It is run by Canterbury Christ Church University, with the Universities of Kent, Greenwich and the Creative Arts, and enables businesses and charities to provide placements to graduates at no cost.

Olivia Wilkes, from the Creative Foundation, said: “It seemed like a great way of giving graduates an opportunity to gain valuable experience.”

Gregory, a Christ Church graduate, said: “The scheme has helped me gain work experience, at a time when graduates are finding it hard to break into the workplace because of the economic climate.”
