Lost seal ‘will find its way back’

NO, YOUR eyes are not de­ceiv­ing you – it is a seal and it’s in a river near you! The truly un­usual vis­i­tor has been spot­ted in a stream at the pri­vate­ly­owned 15-acre Hole Park es­tate in Rol­ven­den. Es­tate owner Ed­ward Barham snapped th­ese pic­tures of a wan­der­ing grey seal. He said: “It is ap­par­ently a wild one that has come up river and got lost. “It was seen flip­per­ing along Step­ney­ford Lane in Be­nen­den on Sun­day af­ter­noon and then dived in to the bridge pool, as seen in the pho­tos. “It re­ally is quite ex­traor­di­nary for it to be here, some 15 miles from the sea and on such a small wa­ter­way. “The stream is only trick­ling at the mo­ment and there is vir­tu­ally no wa­ter for it. “We have been out looking for it again.” Mr Barham ad­mits that he had never
