THE annual kmfm senior citizens’ Christmas party gets bigger and better each year. This year’s – the third – saw 110 pensioners enjoy a three-course Christmas meal courtesy of Ernie and Sue Warren, who run the Sandyacres sports and leisure club in Ashford. kmfm asked listeners to nominate people to attend. In the first year 65 enjoyed the fun and last year 80 were there and this year’s attendance set a new record. kmfm breakfast show presenter Webbo, who was joined by co-presenter Kirstyn Read at the event, said: “We were overwhelmed with nominations. Those who did come absolutely loved it and so did we!” The event was sponsored by Swift Security and the company’s owner John Howland was among those helping to make sure the party went with a swing. Entertainment was provided by the Clover Sisters and singers Ricky Fontayne, Alan Peach and Ellie Fiore. Val Webb collected 30 prizes for the raffle.
