CLASSES in fam­ily his­tory start early in the New Year. In Ash­ford there’s a class for be­gin­ners and those wish­ing to re­view and up­date their knowl­edge.

It starts on Mon­day, Jan­uary 11, at As­so­ciate House, Up­per Queens Road. It runs for 11 weeks and takes place from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.

Us­ing the in­ter­net and orig­i­nal doc­u­ments it cov­ers the ba­sic steps in re­search­ing fam­ily mem­bers as well as in­di­vid­ual ad­vice. To en­rol, quote course code: 7028ASH-09-A.

There is also a fur­ther steps course for those who have done some re­search at Wood Av­enue Li­brary, off the Can­ter­bury Road, Folke­stone, that starts on Tues­day, Jan­uary 12, for eight weeks on Tues­day af­ter­noons from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.
