Bradley chases Euro glory

TWELVE-YEAR-OLD LYDD RIDER HOPES TO BUILD ON HIS CON­SID­ER­ABLE BRI­TISH SUC­CESS IN DE­BUT SEA­SON IN EURO­PEAN COM­PE­TI­TION

YOUNG mul­ti­ple Bri­tish motorcycling cham­pion Bradley Ray will un­der­take a new chal­lenge in 2010.

The 12-year-old from Lydd com­peted in the Span­ish 70cc Metrokit Se­ries last sea­son, which is widely ac­knowl­edged as the step­ping stone to­wards World Cham­pi­onship racing, fin­ish­ing the se­ries in fifth place, with a best­placed fin­ish of third.

He is al­ready at­tract­ing the at­ten­tion of Roger Keys of FAB Racing, who also man­ages Moto GP 125cc rider Scott Red­ding.

Bradley started racing at six and has won five Bri­tish Min­i­moto Cham­pi­onships and added the Bri­tish Me­trakit GP50 and GP70cc ti­tles this sea­son

With Keys’ help, he will race a new bike next sea­son as he demon­strates his tal­ent in the Euro­pean 125cc Pre GP Se­ries.

The com­pe­ti­tion in­cludes a round in a sup­port event at the Bri­tish Motorcyling GP at Sil­ver­stone in June.

He will also com­pete in the tele­vised Bri­tish MRO 125cc Cham­pi­onship.

Bradley’s fa­ther Kevin said: “This help from FAB Racing in terms of the bike and ad­vice is a must to give Brad a good chance of be­com­ing a Euro­pean cham­pion.”

He added: “We are looking for spon­sors to help with the run­ning costs, which in­clude trans­porta­tion, tyres, en­tries and spare parts.”
