Curry house in running for award
A CURRY house in Tenterden has made the final of the Kent Restaurant Awards.
Raja of Kent in St Michael’s is one of six finalists in the Best Indian Restaurant category of the awards, organised in association with OrderOnlineNow.co.uk
The others are India Royal in Faversham; Jalsha Indian in Canterbury; Raja Indian Restaurant in Maidstone; Prince of India Restaurant in Faversham; and Spice Lounge, also in Faversham.
The Rajaver in Biddenden is one of five nominees for the best takeaway category, along with Zarin restaurant in Ashford.
A panel of food critics and journalists will now visit the finalists as part of their selection.
Marks will be awarded according to quality of the cooking, ambience, use of local produce, service, and the support of sustainable farming practices.
The winners will be honoured at a dinner being at Ashford International Hotel on Thursday, January 28.
