Grad­u­ates put their skills to good use

TWO broth­ers, both grad­u­ates from Can­ter­bury Christ Church Uni­ver­sity, have joined the Chan­nel Cham­ber of Com­merce to work on two projects.

Aro­mal and Ab­bishek Shikky are us­ing their mar­ket­ing and IT skills to work with the cham­ber un­der the Busi­ness First scheme, which places grad­u­ates with com­pa­nies for short pe­ri­ods of time.

Each is re­ceiv­ing a bur­sary of £500 a month un­til the end of April.

Aro­mal is work­ing with lo­cal busi­nesses and com­mu­nity groups in Folke­stone, en­cour­ag­ing peo­ple to make full use of the in­ter­net.

Ab­bishek is work­ing on invit­ing lo­cal em­ploy­ers to join the cham­ber’s work­place health pro­gramme, good health means good busi­ness.
