IT’S almost over. The polls close at 10pm tonight (Thursday) and the counting can then begin. So what better way to while away the hours waiting for a result than to sip on a party political cocktail. Chart Hills Golf Club in Biddenden is offering its members and visitors the chance to vote with their taste buds, by offering cocktails in the colours of the leading political parties. Manager David Colyer said: “Our cocktail voting system may not be hugely scientific, but it might be a more accurate reflection of how the election will go and we will be keeping tabs on just what goes on people’s tabs. “We will also happily provide receipts should people wish to claim the cocktails back on expenses.” The political party coloured cocktails on offer up until tonight include Gordon’s On The Rocks? (Labour); the Blue Hug-A-Hoodie Surprise (Conservative) and the Yellow Cleggover (Liberal Democrats). There is also the Green Sustainabili-Tea (Green Party) and the Purple Kilroy-Killjoy (UKIP).
