Liv cashes in her chips for a cool £1m
A FORMER Ashford School pupil has scooped over £1 million playing poker.
Liv Boeree, 25, from Sittingbourne, is currently competing in the finals of a tournament in the south of France where prize money of £2.2 million is up for grabs.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper she said her school was “great” adding: “At school I was captain of sports - netball, hockey, running; anything where I could compete and win.” After passing her GCSE and A-level exams she went to university at Manchester earning a degree in astrophysics.
The tournament finishes in Monaco tomorrow (Friday).
