Liv cashes in her chips for a cool £1m

A FOR­MER Ash­ford School pupil has scooped over £1 mil­lion play­ing poker.

Liv Bo­eree, 25, from Sittingbourne, is cur­rently com­pet­ing in the fi­nals of a tour­na­ment in the south of France where prize money of £2.2 mil­lion is up for grabs.

Speak­ing to The Sun news­pa­per she said her school was “great” adding: “At school I was cap­tain of sports - net­ball, hockey, run­ning; any­thing where I could com­pete and win.” Af­ter pass­ing her GCSE and A-level ex­ams she went to uni­ver­sity at Manch­ester earn­ing a de­gree in as­tro­physics.

The tour­na­ment fin­ishes in Monaco to­mor­row (Fri­day).
