A SCHOOLGIRL has written to the Kentish Express appealing for help in finding her lost Pinocchio puppet.

Seven-year-old Holly Sims of Ball Lane, Kennington, thinks someone may have picked up the wooden puppet, which is her favourite toy, at Clarks shoe shop in the Ashford Designer Outlet last Tuesday.

Holly, a pupil at Downs View Infants School said: “My mummy and daddy took me to Clarks shoe shop in the outlet centre to buy some summer sandals.

“I took with me my favourite toy, which is a wooden Pinocchio with a red top and light green shorts, and a handle made of string coming out the top of his hat, which my mummy bought a long time ago when she went to Italy on a school trip.

“Mummy and I were so busy finding shoes for me to try on and daddy had to go to the toilet, so we didn’t notice when someone took Pinocchio off the stool we were using to sit on.”

She added: “I am really, really very sad to have lost my doll, and would so much like him back.

“Please could you put in your paper that if anyone knows where he is I would really like him back, please.”

Her dad Philip, 59, said: “She turned around and he was gone.

“It’s just really annoying. A toddler probably grabbed it without thinking and we were left with

our little girl in tears.”
