Fearless knights joust at castle tournament
AN action packed week of medieval activity and entertainment awaits visitors to Leeds Castle from June 1 to 6. Jousting at the Field of the Cloth of Gold features fearless knights on horseback performing daredevil stunts, fights and falls in an authentic jousting arena against the historic backdrop of the medieval castle. In addition to the twice daily jousts, there’ll be historical activities for children including archery and a new World of Wings free flying bird displays. The fun, interactive activities are a great way to experience learning outside the classroom in a heritage environment. A small additional charge applies to activities in the marquee. Tickets cost £17.50 for adults, £15 for senior citizens and visitors with disabilities (carer goes free), £10 for children (under fours free). Every ticket to Leeds Castle is valid for 12 months and includes entry to an extensive programme of varied and exciting events. Grounds open at 10am daily and the castle is open from 10.30am.
