THE new Bishop of Dover was happy to undergo a grilling from pupils of the Lady Joanna Thornhill Primary School in Wye when he paid a visit there last week. The Rt Rev Trevor Wilmott spent part of the day answering questions prepared by Year 5 pupils and created a podcast with Year 3 pupils which will be sent to all the clergy and volunteers in the Diocese of Canterbury. The bishop answered some tricky questions that the children had prepared as part of their religious education, and received a tour of the school from head teacher Kevin Grout. Mr Grout said: “It was a very interesting day. “Bishop Trevor spent time with each class and spoke to them at an adult level, leaving the children with a deep understanding of his faith. The children really enjoyed talking to him and meeting him.”
