Coms firm boss takes reins of network group
THE Wealden Business Group has elected Mike Palmar of Tenterden-based Wave2 Communications as its new chairman. His appointment was announced at the networking and business support group’s last meeting at the Little Silver Country Hotel in St Michaels. Hotel owner Oliver Johnston handed over the chairmanship reins to Mr Palmar who runs an independent communications company specialising in telecoms solutions. The non-profit organisation claims to be the fastest growing business group in the Weald with 32 members ranging from solicitors and accountants to carpenters and electricians. Mr Johnston said: “We pass a substantial amount of business between ourselves and are developing a reputation for quality. “There are various types of business within the group from trades to ‘professional’ people.” Members meet at the hotel from 7am until 8.30am every Wednesday for breakfast which is usually followed by a presentation.
