Thousands of women aim to smash target
THOUSANDS of women will take to the streets of Folkestone for the annual Race for Life in aid of Cancer Research UK. The popular event takes place on Sunday, June 20, leaving The Leas at 11am. About 3,000 women from across south Kent are expected to walk, jog or run the 5k to help Cancer Research UK smash its fundraising target of £150,000. Contestants are advised to arrive at least an hour before the start to avoid queueing. There is no parking available apart from public car parks.
