Glo­ri­ous scenes as so­ci­ety mem­bers show off tal­ents

ASH­FORD Art So­ci­ety are now host­ing a monthly ex­hi­bi­tion of mem­bers’ work at the Mis­sion Hall, in Stubbs Cross. Af­ter the suc­cess of their April and May ex­hi­bi­tions, the group has de­cided to hold an ex­hi­bi­tion on the first week­end of ev­ery month at the venue. Sched­uled un­til Septem­ber, the next ex­hi­bi­tion runs over the week­end of June 5 and 6 be­tween 10am and 4pm. The ex­hi­bi­tions will dis­play work by so­ci­ety mem­bers, with the pos­si­bil­ity of other ex­hibitors from out­side the club dis­play­ing their artis­tic en­deav­ours. Next month’s artists are The Three Mus­ke­teers – Ca­role Wood­ley, Beryl Baker and Betty Cripps – who are dis­play­ing their range of paint­ings and greet­ings cards. Or­gan­iser Leslie Cur­sons said: “The group no­ticed that the hall was not be­ing used at the week­ends, so, fol­low­ing the parish church in the town cen­tre. The show opened yes­ter­day (Wed­nes­day) and runs un­til Satur­day, May 22, daily from 10am to 4.30pm (ex­cept Sun­day).
