Glorious scenes as society members show off talents
ASHFORD Art Society are now hosting a monthly exhibition of members’ work at the Mission Hall, in Stubbs Cross. After the success of their April and May exhibitions, the group has decided to hold an exhibition on the first weekend of every month at the venue. Scheduled until September, the next exhibition runs over the weekend of June 5 and 6 between 10am and 4pm. The exhibitions will display work by society members, with the possibility of other exhibitors from outside the club displaying their artistic endeavours. Next month’s artists are The Three Musketeers – Carole Woodley, Beryl Baker and Betty Cripps – who are displaying their range of paintings and greetings cards. Organiser Leslie Cursons said: “The group noticed that the hall was not being used at the weekends, so, following the parish church in the town centre. The show opened yesterday (Wednesday) and runs until Saturday, May 22, daily from 10am to 4.30pm (except Sunday).
