Little homes bring in big charity cash
AN AUCTION of miniature houses made by school children raised £220 for Pilgrims Hospices. The sale was organised by estate agents Century 21, of Sandgate Road, Folkestone. Property apprentice Lucy Bowers approached teachers with the idea of getting pupils to design their own miniature houses for a competition. Century 21 provided a “for sale” sign to stick beside each house and a prize for each entrant. Ten entries were handed in and family, friends and parents were invited to attend the auction.
