NEWLY-pro­moted Misfitts made a fine start to life in the Ash­ford Su­per Fives Sum­mer League with a 7-1 win over As­sas­sins.

Steve John­son net­ted four goals with Jake North adding a brace and Rob Nash the other.

Baker Boys let a 3-0 lead slip but still over­came Home­bull 3-2 with Scott Dud­uca, Barry Arnold and Dan Ross on tar­get.

Chart Lea­con and Ald­ing­ton played out a 1-1 draw with Carl Tow­ersey putting Ald­ing­ton ahead and Paul Waldener scor­ing for Lea­con.

In Di­vi­sion 1, Pot Blacks got off to a flier by beat­ing McDon­alds 7-1. Hardly Ath­letic over­came Libyans 4-3 with Glen What­man and Mike Brewer scor­ing two apiece for Hardly and Steve Ward (2) and Carl Spencer re­ply­ing for Libyans.

SouthLoco grabbed three points with a 1-0 win over Spar­tans and No­chos and Ken­ning­ton drew 3-3, with Kieran Tick­ner, Ryan Dur­row and Jake Prescott on tar­get for Ken­ning­ton.

ABCD were crowned Win­ter Premier League cham­pi­ons with Wraight Boys fin­ish­ing as run­ners-up.

Chart Lea­con took the Di­vi­sion 1 crown, with Misfitts just be­hind in sec­ond.
