School needs you to help make its dream come true
PUPILS at a school in Ashford are asking readers to donate vouchers in this newspaper to help them win a £7,500 makeover for their playground.
The school has about 100 tokens so far but with 210 pupils it needs to get many more to be in with a chance of winning the competition.
The school getting the most votes on a pro-rata basis, compared to the pupil head count, will win.
Year 6 pupils Millie Cronin, 10, and Grace Hollingsworth, 11, entered the competition, run by the KM Group and Denne, so their playground at Victoria Road Primary School can be more fun. They are competing with 19 schools across the county.
James and Harry from the school’s reception class, pictured, both say they would love a climbing frame.
Major roadworks are due to start outside the school and it is hoped the money will help cheer the children up over the noise and dust of diggers.
Readers can help the children by collecting the vouchers on this page and donating them to the school.
The school reception has a box for anyone who wants to donate directly.
