Fetes and fairs for you to en­joy

EV­ERY sum­mer fetes and fairs are an im­por­tant way for schools, vil­lages and com­mu­nity groups to raise funds.

The sum­mer fete at Great Chart Pri­mary School, Hox­ton Close, Sin­gle­ton, is on Satur­day, June 12 from 1.30pm. Ash­ford Mayor Cllr Allen Wells is due to open the event and crown the school’s “Royal Fam­ily”.

The same day Lady Joanna Thorn­hill Pri­mary School, Bridge Street, Wye is hold­ing its sum­mer fair from mid­day to 3pm. There will be host of in­flat­a­bles in­clud­ing bouncy cas­tles, an in­flat­able bungee, bas­ket­ball hu­man foot­ball, a space pod/ disco dome, slides, a hu­man gy­ro­scope, in­flat­able Glad­i­a­tor duel and an in­flat­able as­sault course for vis­i­tors to en­joy as well as a Wii games mar­quee, a Mega games corner, bar­be­cue, a bar, face paint­ing and jug­gling.

The Bridge vil­lage fete takes place on the recre­ation ground on Satur­day, June 26 from mid­day to 4.30pm. At­trac­tions in­clude a de­sign a flag for the World Cup com­pe­ti­tion for chil­dren.
