Eng­land flag not banned by the po­lice

RU­MOURS of po­lice ban­ning the use of Eng­land flags in pubs and clubs have been quashed on Face­book.

Kent Po­lice used their of­fi­cial page to com­ment af­ter so­cial net­work­ers cre­ated a page to ex­press their ou­trage at any sug­ges­tions of the flag of St Ge­orge be­ing out­lawed.

Deputy Chief Con­sta­ble Gary Beautridge said: “Kent Po­lice is not ban­ning peo­ple from wear­ing foot­ball shirts or putting up flags, for ex­am­ple, out­side their homes and on their ve­hi­cles.”
