More than 40 bands sign up to play Cre­ate fes­ti­val

THE full line-up of acts ap­pear­ing at this year’s Cre­ate mu­sic fes­ti­val has been an­nounced.

The free mu­sic event is ex­pected to at­tract more than 5,000 to Ash­ford’s Vic­to­ria Park on Sun­day, July 25.

Cre­ate Fes­ti­val 2010 is spon­sored by Ash­ford Bor­ough Coun­cil, Right Track Mu­sic School, Au­dio En­ergy and Re­gency Mar­quees. There will be four mu­sic stages, with more than 40 bands from near and far se­lected to per­form.

Green Day trib­ute act Green Date will be head­lin­ing the Au­dio En­ergy main stage, while singer song­writer Nic Ben­nett will bring his blend of in­die and folk to the Re­gency Event Far Out stage.

Ash­ford’s in­die rock band Flat Lung will be per­form­ing on the Right Track Mu­sic stage.

There will also be a set of spin masters on the DJ An­nexe Stage head­lined by Adam White, as well as a hog roast and barbe- cue, food stalls, fun­fair and fun and games.

Artist Oliver Win­conek will also be do­ing a live paint­ing on the day.

There will also be a beer tent and cock­tail bar on site all day.

Peo­ple are wel­come to bring their own food and drink, but to make the event is safe for all, no glass bot­tles will be al­lowed on site, and manned gates will be set up to en­sure no glass is brought in.
