Gardens open to raise funds for servicemen
A 10-ACRE garden is being opened to the public to raise cash for servicemen and their families in need.
The Beech Court, Challock, garden of Vyvyan and Alexandra Harmsworth, will open to visitors on Sunday, June 20 between 11am and 5pm.
The entrance fee is £5 per person, payable at the gate, with children under 15 admitted free.
No dogs (except guide dogs) are permitted because of the pet animals on display at the event, which include goats, turkeys, guinea fowl and birds.
There will be a plant stall and light refreshments are available.
The Welsh Guards brass quintet will play and all proceeds will go to SSAFA Forces Help Kent, whose volunteers have been delivering one-to-one assistance to Kent veterans and their families in need since 1885.
