THE grateful son of an elderly heart-attack victim has met two of the women who helped save her.

Jeremy Weatherall met store workers Sue Castle and Julie Porter, who aided Daphne Weatherall when she collapsed at Sainsbury’s in Ashford.

The group met during a visit to the 82-year-old while she was recovering at the town’s William Harvey Hospital.

Mrs Weatherall collapsed at the store off Simone Weil Avenue last month.

Ms Porter, Ms Castle and colleague Kimberley Knowles took turns to give her chest compressions while fellow worker Sarah Waller kept customers back.

Mrs Weatherall had also suffered a stroke and was taken by ambulance to the hospital in a critical condition.
