Action is needed to halt street parking

Kentish Express Ashford & District - - It’s Just Not Cricket -

We do need parking restrictions in our residential roads nearest to Eureka Business Park (Yellow lines ‘would defile out streets’, June 27).

The overspill car park (150 spaces) is still only being two-thirds used by the employees of Eureka Business Park.

So even if another 150-space car park is built, we will still be blighted by commercial parking in residential roads. This has gone on for five years now.

We need Option Two parking restriction plan which was voted for by the residents nearest to the business park.

Cllr Winston Michael says yellow lines ‘would defile our streets.’

What about the daily nose-to-bumper parking that Eureka Park employees impose on us, making our roads one giant car park. Does that not ‘defile our streets’? David Ian Smith, Aylesbury Road, Kennington
