Ro­tary club’s gar­den party

The Ro­tary Club of Ash­ford held a fundrais­ing gar­den party at the Chal­lock home of hon­orary mem­ber Amanda Cot­trell.

Around 120 guests, in­clud­ing the Mayor and May­oress of Ash­ford, Cllr David Smith and Mrs Chris­tine Kathaw­ick­Smith, en­joyed a tra­di­tional tea com­plete with Pimm’s pro­vided by Rose­bud Vin­tage and mu­sic by harpist Mary Mor­ley.

So far the event has raised ap­prox­i­mately £1,100 in sup­port of Ro­tary Club pres­i­dent Mary McKe­own’s char­i­ties, Pro­gres­sive Supranu­clear Palsy As­so­ci­a­tion (PSPA) and the Kent MS Ther­apy Cen­tre Ap­peal and other char­i­ties in­clud­ing Pan­cre­atic Can­cer UK and Sand Dams.
