Rotary club’s garden party
The Rotary Club of Ashford held a fundraising garden party at the Challock home of honorary member Amanda Cottrell.
Around 120 guests, including the Mayor and Mayoress of Ashford, Cllr David Smith and Mrs Christine KathawickSmith, enjoyed a traditional tea complete with Pimm’s provided by Rosebud Vintage and music by harpist Mary Morley.
So far the event has raised approximately £1,100 in support of Rotary Club president Mary McKeown’s charities, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy Association (PSPA) and the Kent MS Therapy Centre Appeal and other charities including Pancreatic Cancer UK and Sand Dams.
