Visitors to Ashford’s Godinton House enjoyed pony rides, archery and target shooting during a family fun day.

The activities, which also included carriage drives and an owl display, were organised on Sunday by the Great Chart with Singleton branch of the Ashford Conservatives.

Christine Smith, from the organising committee said: “It went very well. The people who came really enjoyed it and some of them didn’t even realise Godinton House existed, which is a great shame because it’s a lovely venue. “We had carriage drives and pony riding which was a great success, as well as the owls, target shooting and archery.”

All proceeds from the day will go towards the Riding for the Disabled, which offers life-changing activities for those with disabilities.
