High Noon soaking for head teacher Jim

Cowboys and Indians and a Wild West showdown took centre stage at a primary school’s summer fete on Sunday.

Children and adults alike got into the spirit of the Godinton Primary School fair, donning cowboy hats and fancy dress.

Members of a wild west re-enactment group were on hand to add a touch of authenticity to the day, including by bringing along a traditional teepee.

A mechanised bucking bull proved too much for many of the brave souls who attempted to tame the beast, but that didn’t stop people trying.

But the bravest soul of all had to be head teacher Jim Holditch, who volunteered to receive a soaking as part of a rootin’ and tootin’ water pistol shootout.
