Photographer builds on his reputation
A leading camera manufacturer has snapped up an Ashford photographer as one of its network of ‘ambassadors’.
Olympus has signed a deal with Doug Harman that will see him running workshops and events to highlight the features of the company’s range of high-end digital cameras.
Mr Harman is the author of The Digital Photography Handbook, now the best-selling work of its kind with more than 450,000 copies sold.
He said: “I am an Olympus Pro user and the company wanted to work with someone they felt had the skills and experience to show what its cameras could do. They were impressed by my reputation as both a technical journalist and a creative photographer.”
He said he will be working closely with Olympus on a series of hands-on photographic experience days that will use the company’s cameras at his new studio and on location shoots.
Mr Harman specialises in wedding, portrait and architectural photography as well as writing books and articles for magazines.
He also specialises in providing social media portraits for businessmen and women who want to make the most of social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
